I found this book by Patricia Schultz called "1000 Places to See before You die" which inspired me to start this group. If you think about it we spend most of our times doing routine stuff, most of our days are the same...Will we ever get see 1000 different places of the world we live in, create memories that last a life time? The  purpose of this group is to get people together to get exercise. People who would like to begin exercising or continue exercising should join.  This is a great group for people who want to get outdoors walking and hiking with others.  We leisurely walk and hike year round at a Forest Preserve. We hike from 1 to 5 miles. Occasionally, we hike 5 to 10 miles. CHILDREN: Children are welcome on hikes. DOGS: Dogs are welcome on hikes, as long as the forest preserve allows them.

This group is for weekday morning runners who love running in the most beautiful and scenic part of Chicago--Lincoln Park just north of North Ave, zoo area, nature boardwalk, conservatory and along the lakefront.
