It's simple. I have a petanque set, which is basically the Frenchified version of bocce. We meet at the Logan Square monument. We play. We hang out. We bring road sodas. We enjoy spring in Chicago. You don't gotta be Fronch.  It's that simple.

I'm a 30 something gal who has "making more time to read for leisure" on her things to accomplish for 2012 list. No better way to do that than by adding a social aspect and a monthly due date :-). Those who should join should be interested in reading fiction and socializing. I am hopeful to get a nice mix of men and women, but I wont be choosy! I live in Hyde Park and like contemporary fiction and some Sci - Fi. I look forward to meeting you all!

I found this book by Patricia Schultz called "1000 Places to See before You die" which inspired me to start this group. If you think about it we spend most of our times doing routine stuff, most of our days are the same...Will we ever get see 1000 different places of the world we live in, create memories that last a life time?
